Signed & Numbered By Blek Le Rat & Shepard Fairey. Florence Aubenas is a French journalist. In 2005, the French journalist Florence Aubenas was kidnapped in Iraq. Blek le Rat, plastered the city with portraits of her and therefore raised awareness among people for the news and helped to bring her back home. This print features a portrait of her by Blek le Rat (originally done in 2005, at Place Saint-Michel, Paris). In conjunction with his solo exhibition in 2008, Art is Not Peace, Blek le Rat and Shepard Fairey released a series of collaborative limited edition prints, utilizing Sybille Prou’s photographs of Blek Le Rat’s street art.
